Better attitude

Hello all ...Thank you for all of your worde of encouragement and hope. My car broke down today. I had to walk a long ways in 8 degree weather until some nice man stopped and picked me up. I know that it is dangerous to get into a strange man's car but my lungs felt like they had daggers in them. It was just too cold to go on. He took me home. He was southern. He said he wasnt from the area. I thought it was nice of him to go out of his way to drive me home. He said he didnt like seeing me walk in such bad conditions. It was very nice of him and it restored my faith in people some what. I was very proud of myself because through it all I kept my cool and thought things through. I tried to start my old car and it wouldnt start. I thought there was gas in it but it ended up being empty. The gas gage doesnt work right. I had a neighbor drive my brother in law to get some gas and when he got back, The car started. I had to use my mortgage money to put insurance back on the car but i had no choice. I had my other one towed to a station to get fixed. He said that he would fix and it and let it sit there until I can pay for it. That was nice of him to do. I am going to try to keep a somewhat good attitude but it is really hard. I am going to try to make it. I dont see how i can but I am sure going to try. I am going to try to have faith in God. I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks again for your prayers and support.

Honey just do your best and trust God to do the rest. He will! Life can really be tough sometimes. But we're all much stronger than we believe ourselves to be. You will get through this. Right now it may seem like it is impossible but just look at all the other hard times you thought you couldn't cope with. And you did! Praying for you as many are.
God bless you,

Oh Christine I know that you have to be feeling bad right now. We are all human and it is hard when we are going through tough times. Just don't give up on God because He is there you just can't feel Him right now. Remember the poem Footprints In The Sand? Maybe that was an angel in disguise today... the man who picked you up. Wow! Scary but like you I don't think I could have taken that 8 degree weather! Listen to Barb, she is a good person and has been through many things too. I have too. Wish I would have known Christ sooner in my life. I was 32 before I accepted Christ. Taken me a long time to understand the peace that He gives us if we are willing to trust Him. You and your family are in my prayers. So glad that you are doing alright. Love, hugs, and prayers, Janie

Christine I am proud of you for the more positive note in your Journal.  I know that doesn't  solve anything but it shows you have not given up hope.  In my 78 years I have been in your shoes .  I was able to get my kids together and it was so hard, but we made it.  Wishing you the best and keep in touch regular, and yes , believe in the power of prayer.

I am glad to hear that you are thinking positive.  It is the best way to look at life.  These trials can't beat you Christine, unless you let them.

God bless-
Amanda

Hi Christine.  If there is one thing I've learned it's that every one of us will go through trials in this life.  Some more than others.  God knows what we are suffering and he will be there.  I always think of two quotes when I'm really being tested.  "It's always darkest before the dawn" and "This too shall pass."  And you know what?  It's so very true.  You're in my prayers.  Blessings to you.  Linda

I didnt know the van broke down on you mamma! Thats why you need your phone!!! I wish you could have called me cuz I would have dropped everything to go get you! I think your phone battery needs to be replaced! If you let it die because you dont charge it wont stayed charged for more than a few hours! You have to turn it off before it dies! Lets get you a new battery when is your lease up so you can update to a new phone for free!
